How to Make Passive Income using eHow
For people looking for an easy and inexpensive way to start making money online, eHow can be a good place to start. If you are already running an online business, eHow can give you added free exposure. eHow is pretty simple to use.
Just open and account and start writing about any topic you know about or have an interest in. Pick good keywords and tags and over a couple of months you will begin to accumulate some revenue. The nice thing about eHow is that once you write an article – it can make money for you for several months afterward – a pretty easy way to start developing some passive income! To really make some serious money, you need to write ALOT of articles… people who make good money on eHow typically write at least 1 article a day.
There are various forums and articles on eHow on how to best monetize your articles. I’m still learning but I did realize that it takes about 2 months for your articles to start to produce income. There are a couple of other things you can do in addition to writing articles to increase your exposure.
- Twitter / Facebook – start a Twitter and/or Facebook account and add a link to your eHow profile. You can also link to individual articles.
- eHow friends – eHow has a friends feature… it’s pretty simple: you see a persons picture, click on it, and click “add as a friend” on the left side. The eHow writer has to approve you, but they almost always do. If you build up a friends list, you can read your “friends” articles, comment on them, and even recommend them. If you do this, your “friends” will often return the favor to you, adding to your exposure and money making potential.
- Search eHow articles. If you have an idea for an eHow article, search the eHow database to make sure that you won’t have a ton of competition. You want to write articles that people have an interest in, but you don’t want to have your article buried behind hundreds of others on the same subject.
While you don’t have to be a professional writer to make money on eHow – you do want to write your articles to the best of your ability. If you just write and article as fast as you can to build your volume, you won’t do very well. In fact, your eHow friends will probably dump you if they suspect you are just writing articles for speed instead of content.
I hope this gives you some help with getting started with eHow and I will keep you updated on my progress!
